July Beauty Haul: YESto Blueberries, L'Oreal, Dove, Organic Surge, Richfeel

Not a huge beauty haul, but there are few new items to share and I am glad there few replacements as well. It is unusual for me to stick to the same product and purchase it second time. This month I got two. Interesting!

I have mentioned Richfeel Brahmi Hair Pack in my last month's discovery post. You can read here full review if you missed it out. This is a nourishing hair pack for damaged, dull and tried looking hair.

Ta dahh.. My beauty replacements  are YESto Blueberries cleanser and L'Oreal Micellar Water. Both items I reviewed in July's empty bottles post, just click here to read reviews. I am sure I will continue with L'Oreal Micellar Water in the future, but will replace cleanser for something new in the autumn.

I am trying basic "drug store" soaps and I found this creamy one from Dove with a very pleasant scent. Dove go fresh Restore Beauty Bar is leathers well and during summer months my skin doesn't mind its not that "clean" formula.

The last, but not the least Organic Surge Lavender Meadow Body Lotion. Well, it smells like lavender meadow, has light texture and natural ingredient list. This lotion is enriched with organic lavender and geranium essential oils, which help to de-stress and lift the mood as well as due to skin-conditioning glycerine leaves skin feeling soft, smooth and moisturised. According to the website lotion helps to protect from dryness and irritation. I will post full review later when lotion will finish.

Recent Reads - Natural Superfoods

I like to read books about healthy life style, but I love even more books full of not just useful and interesting information, but also full of colourful, straight forward recipes. Natural Superfoods by Susannah Blake is one of my recent finds.

This book will brief you nicely through healthy nutrients, will tell you all about superfoods and you can find 150 nutrient-packed recipes for complete health, vitality and healing.

Author's approach to food and health is all about healthy balance. That means plenty of carbohydrates for energy, loads of fruit and vegetables, enough protein and dairy foods, and just the right amount of the right kinds of fats. I was looking for some time now for a book with my vision of healthy balance. Now you will see so many this type of books, which will tell you don't eat carbs, don't eat dairy and avoid fats. Personally I think it is healthy to eat everything, but in a right balanced way. And this book is just perfect if you are like me searching for this kind of balance.

Here are two "super" tips from the Susannah Blake I like:

1. Variety, variety, variety. She says that, the best way to make the most of all those lovely ingredients that are so readily available to us is to eat the widest variety of foods possible. This way you will be providing your body with as much of the good stuff as you can.

2. Eat a rainbow. When it comes to fruit and vegetables, follow this simple message - "eat a rainbow" - every day to ensure you make the most of the wealth of health-boosting nutrients that they contain. Fruit and vegetables are not only rich in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, they are also packed with substances known as phytochemicals, which are believed to help protect against illnesses such as stroke, heart disease, some cancers, osteoporosis and urinary tract infections, and protect against the effects of ageing.

Amazing book to look into this summer to stay healthy, gorgeous and in shape. Do you have a super book to share?

Maybelline Forever Strong Super Stay Gel Nail Polish Haul: Reviews and Swatches

I bought few new shades to enjoy this summer and would like to share with you swatches and review. I have decided not to break the bank and to try Maybelline Forever Strong Super Stay Gel Nail Colour. I bought clear colour (Crystal Clear - 25) for base and top coat, darker red (Midnight Red - 287) for my toes and pinky nude (Rose Poudre - 130) shade for my hands.

I can tell you that they are good, if to consider the price and the final results. Lovely, wide brush - makes it easy to apply varnish; no streaks, dries well and fast enough, beautiful shine and all of them look great on the nails.

Midnight Red lasted on my toes for five full days, when I had a slight wear off on the big toe's tip. Overall I am pleased with the results and the colour. I have base coat, two coats of colour and top coat on the photo.

Rosy nude is my favourite colour for few weeks now. It lasts on my nails only for three days, but I am a busy mum with a toddler. So, three days is a good result for me. I have base coat, one coat of nail varnish and top coat on the photo. I do only one coat, so it dries faster and I prefer less intense shade for day to day look.

I will give Maybelline Forever Strong Super Stay Gel Nail Colour 4 stars out of 5. Shades are lovely, brush is effective, slight minus they don't last as long as they promise. But overall a good nail polish to own and wear.

Have you tried Maybelline Forever Strong yet? Do you have favourite colour?

Glossybox - July 2015

Conscious shopping is on hold and my Glossybox subscription is in full swing.  Must be the blogger effect, I feel like exploring new beauty products and so far Glossybox is my favourite way to do so. I brace myself with flow of mascaras I hardly use and lip balms, but I am sure I will have plenty more to play with in the future months.

This month I got two Glossyboxes to share with you: one is July's box with promised French skin care and second is a surprise box.

I will start with July's Glossybox. It is Vive la France box designed  by Jamie Lee Reardin. I think box is just beautiful and content is full of pleasant surprises.

1. Glossybox exckusive Travel Pouch. All samples came packed nicely in this pouch. It has exclusive artwork by fashion illustrator Jamie Lee Reading. This is a zip-lock pouch, pleasant on touch and can fit enough for travel or a short break. Can be used as a make up bag too. It is made of clear material so you can see all your goodies through.

2. Yves Rocher Comme Une Evidence Eau de Parfum. 7.5 ml of musky floral scent in a cute small bottle. It has a feminine and sexy scent. I am glad it smells nice on my skin, because I am usually fun of more lighter scents. I am looking forward to wear it in the evenings or special occasions.

3. Teoxane Cosmeceuticals Perfect Skin Refiner. This is a light weight night cream with Glycolic acid (15%). Glycolic acid exfoliates the skin, removing the outer layer of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. This cream contains Vitamin E (anti-oxidants and barrier protector), Allantoin (anti-irritant to soothe and calm the skin) and Neautrazen (Lipopeptide to reduce skin inflammation).

4. Lollipops Lip Balm Delicieuse. This is rich and creamy balm to soothe and soften lips, contains anti-oxidants and Vitamin E. Not much information on the website and on the tube itself. I am using it for few days now and I can tell you that, it is lovely and soft lip balm with pleasant scent and texture.

5. Noxidoxi Enhancing Serum Base. According to the website the CRC6 moisturising complex keeps the surface of your skin well-moisturised while at the same time penetrating deep down to hydrate the skin cells. This serum base contains combination of an anti-inflammatory agent and an essential anti-oxidant.

I am using it every morning before my day face cream and I do like its scent, texture and how it feels on the skin. A very interesting brand indeed.

Here are all the beauty products from my July's Glossybox. I like them all and I am using them all already save of the pouch, I will keep it for my future travels.

Would you like to subscribe with Glossybox? Click here to get yours and enter JULYREFER code to get 20% off your July's box.

My surprise box is a Festival Edit Glossybox. I got mixed feeling about this one, but there are few items I glad to have.

1. Glossybox Flash Tattoos. Well, this isn't my kind of thing, but I am sure I will find a place to stick them around my house somewhere. Some of them quite nice and will do well on a organiser box or/and any other project box.

2. Halo Fragrance Free Facial Wipes. These facial wipes cleanse and refresh, especially suitable for sensitive skin, dermatologically approved and in a very handy size to keep in hand bag on the go.

3. MONU Spa Rosewood Reviving Mist. This is my favourite item in the box. I am sort of fun of MONU skin care and this is one of the brand I have discovered with Glossybox.

This mist is created using a blend of zesty essential oils from Lemon and Rosewood to Sandakwood, Petitgrain, Geranium and Clary Sage. It has lovely scent and leaves skin refreshed and calm. I use it as a tonner at the moment, but it can be brilliant face refresher in hot weather and you can use it to set your make-up.

4. Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss. I am not a lipgloss fan any more, so I won't be able to tell you much about it. I plan to keep it unopened to give to somebody as a gift. According to Glossybox this has a glass-like shine while being light on lips so it doesn't feel sticky in the heat.

5. Kueshi Anticellulite BoosterThis is a lightweight cream with natural ingredients, helps to stimulate the bloods circulation which in turn protect and reinforce the lining of our veins. I haven't tried it just yet, will let you know how I will get on in one of my empties post. I liked Kueshi Revitalizing Toner, so I have high hopes with this cream too.

Here we are! Such a long post this time. A lot to take in, try and enjoy for me this month. Will keep you posted with reviews as usual.

MWgifts - Introduction to My New Project

Today I would to share with you my new project - MWgifts

MWgifts is my user ID on Amazon and will offer you beautiful, special and unique gifts.

I always wanted to have a gift shop or a small boutique, but current circumstances are stopping me from opening one on a high street at the moment. I wish my new project will be a joyful experience to all of us.

Here is a sneak peak of my favourite item so far. There are so many of them, wasn't easy to choose.

Isn't it gorgeous?!

My Beauty Discovery - July 2015

Today I wanted to share with you one of my favourite hair products from India. I bought it first few years ago when I had a pleasure to visit this beautiful country. Now it is again in my bathroom and I can't miss this opportunity to share.

Richfeel Brahmi Hair Pack is a deep-conditioning mask enriched with the Indian Ayurvedic Brahmi Plant. It is great for dry, brittle and damaged hair. Brahmi herb is a natural strengthening conditioner and it helps in overall nourishment of hair.

Here is the ingredient list for you to have a look:

Brahmi Powder, Amla Powder, Kapor aka hair Powder, Glycerine, Stearic Acid, Amodimethicone and Trideceth-12 cetrimonium chloride, Light Liquid Paraffin, Glyceryl Stearate and PEG - 100 Stearate, Preservatives, Purified Water-Qs.

3 ways I use Richfeel Brahmi Hair Pack:

- As a light conditioner. Apply the mask on the hair ends and leave for 5-10 minutes before you wash your hair. Shampoo and condition your hair as usual.

- As a deep-conditioning mask. Apply Richfeel Brahmi hair pack on the scalp and hair. Leave for 30-45 minutes under shower cap and towel. Wash and condition as usual.

- As a overnight treatment. Apply a hair oil first (I am using my hair oil mix with Shea Butter at the moment), massage the scalp and apply Richfeel Brahmi hair pack on the scalp and hair. Braid your hair and leave treatment over the night. In the morning wash your hair twice and condition as usual. Do place something on your pillow, so you won't stain it.

I will give Richfeel Brahmi Hair Pack 5 stars out of 5. It always managed to rescue my hair when needed, so that why I think it deserves to be called a Beauty Discovery of the month.

Have you tried any of Richfeel products? Do you have a favourite one?

Recent Reads - French Women Don't Get Facelifts: Ageing with Attitude

I went through few novels in the past weeks and by chance came across one little book I want to share. French Women Don't Get Facelifts: Ageing with Attitude by Mireille Guiliano tackles the delicate subject of ageing - showing how women of forty and beyond age with attitude and style.

In this little book Mireille Guiliano (author of international bestseller French Women Don't Get Fat) shares her secrets and personal tips about looking and feeling great, whatever your age.

According to the author, French women approach ageing with a different mind-set to women from most cultures. It is not just grooming or clothing, or nutrition or skincare - it is the attitude of self-acceptance. In France, a woman in her 40s or 50s is still seen as alluring. She feels it and acts it, but doesn't pretend that she is still young. She is comfortable and takes care of herself. A positive attitude adds good years to your life. And ageing with attitude means making small changes to you mental make-up and physical appearance.

I can only agree with that. I always admired ladies in their older years looking great and feeling comfortable in their own skin. I would like to be one of them when time comes.

Five ageless beauty tips inspired by Mireille Guiliano:

1. Style. Focus on hair and shoes.
This is so true! I always thought, that people notice first your appearance: hairstyle and shoes are what give impression about you and give away your personality, lifestyle and attitude to life.

2. Skincare. Pamper and protect.
I mentioned this before in my previous anti-ageing posts. It is important to protect your skin from the sun and give yourself time to unwind and relax. And don't forget your water intake, keep your skin hydrated at all times.

3. Exercise. Walk the walk.
It is up to you what level of exercise to take on considering your lifestyle and health. But remember even going for a walk to the park or taking the stairs will keep your body in better shape.

4. Make-up. Less is more.
I am in my early 30s and have already noticed, if I overdo my face - I look much older. The right amount of make-up to enhance my features is what works for me even now. According to Mireille Guiliano when you turn 40, it is time to be careful with make-up and colours you use.

5. Diet. The art of restrain.
I never could diet, but I do try to be reasonable with what I eat and how much. I always believed that you need to listen to your body and don't feel guilty if you overindulge once in a while. Just take that walk in the park again and find a way to enjoy your life and enjoy your food in moderation.

Like all tips and tricks in the world, do remember to put your personal touch. It is only about you and you, so find your own way to stay fabulous what ever your age.

After reading and skipping through pages I found that I know quite a bit myself, but always there is something new even in known. If you are looking for French beauty and style tips to inspire you to age with attitude, have a pick inside French Women Don't Get Facelifts.
